For submitting your request for concentration in the Inner Chamber, this page remains open only between 7 am and 12 pm Indian Standard Time, every day Except Tuesdays.
If you are unable to see the "continue" option at the bottom of this page, then you are visiting the page outside of these timings or on a Tuesday. Kindly visit this page during the mentioned hours to book your concentration in the Inner Chamber.

Important to know:

  • 1.
    The Inner Chamber is a place for individual silent concentration. A place which should be visited in a quiet physical and mental state. It is not a Tourist site.
  • 2.
    Booking is granted individually and as per seat availability. Each person should fill their own and separate form. Group bookings are not allowed and bookings done on behalf of someone else will be declined.
  • 3.
    Please Do Not submit duplicate requests.
  • 4.
    The Inner Chamber remains closed for visitors' concentration on all Sundays and Tuesdays.
  • 5.
    Only children of age 10 years and above are allowed to visit the Matrimandir. All other children will be asked to stay back at the Visitors' Centre along with the adult accompanying them.
  • 6.
    Arrival and Same Day Bookings are not possible. Booking request should be submitted at least a week in advance to avoid disappointment. Bookings are only possible for available dates as appearing in the booking form.
  • 7.
    All visitors should reach the Visitor’s Centre at the Reporting Time mentioned in your confirmation email. All visitors should be available to arrive by 8.00 am at the Visitor’s Centre. There is no other time during the day and late entry is not allowed.
  • 8.
    In case of rainy weather conditions, the Matrimandir will be closed and all bookings for that day will be cancelled. The cancellation will be notified by 7.30 am on the day, through an email.

Important Announcement

As this is holiday time, the bookings are getting full very quickly. Please select the date for meditation as well as alternative dates from the available dates.

If you are visiting for a day or two, there is less likelihood of getting the booking as there are limited places and limited capacity for accommodating visitors for meditation everyday. Matrimandir is a place for silent meditation and a no photography area.

However, you are welcome to Auroville and to visit The Viewing Point of Matrimandir which is a raised area offering a beautiful view of the Matrimandir and its surroundings. It is possible to sit there for a while and take photos of the Matrimandir. No pre-booking is required and it is open everyday from 9.00am to 5.00pm.
